1/4 cup butter
2 pounds beef stew meat, cubed
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup onions, sliced thin
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
1 whole bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-1/4 tablespoon brown sugar
1 cup beer
12 oz beef broth
16 oz can mixed vegetables, drained
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter in skillet, brown beef. Add flour and mix well. Add onions, garlic, spices, brown sugar, beer and broth. Cook 1-1/2 hrs. Add mixed vegetables last 15 minutes. Remove whole bay leaf and serve.
