Desmond bagley biography

Biography of Desmond Bagley, thriller writer, was born in Kendal, Westmoreland in England. He left school at the age of 14 and began working as a printer's devil.

BIOGRAPHY

cHe later worked for six years in the aircraft industry. He left England in 1947 and began a journey to South Africa. Along the way he worked at various jobs. Once in South Africa he began working as a freelance journalist.

Bagley's first novel, THE GOLDEN KEEL, was published when he was forty. It won him immediate recognition and financial success. His last book, JUGGERNAUT, was complete by his wife and published posthumously.

Desmond Bagley died in Southampton in 1983.
